Drugs and Alcohol
As a future health and physical education teacher, it is my job to educate the youth on topics like drugs, alcohol, and addiction. If young adults are not educated on the risks of these things, they will not know how damaging they are to the body. High school students are the most at risk for peer pressure. This is when you feel pressured by a friend to do something that you don't want to do. High schoolers are also at a stage in their life where they want to have freedom so they do things that they shouldn't because they think its cool. Curiosity is another reason for young adults to want to experiment with substances.
Here is a chart of drug usage for high school grade levels.

This is a great topic. Sadly, many kids get introduced to drugs and drinking in high school. It also gets worse in college. As educators, I agree that students should be informed about the risks. I we can prevent early behaviors, there's less of a chance for them to get addicted to drugs and alcohol. Peer pressure is a big factor because people want to look cool and "fit in" even if it means doing drugs.
